![]() With our 3rd and 5th graders spending most of this week testing, we wanted to try something different in the Media Center. This also marks the last week with our friends in the Block B rotation, so we will be having a little Halloween fun with them just a tad early. Shared reading for :2nd & 3rd grades: Scaredy-Cat Splat! by Rob Scotton Shared reading for :4th & 5th grades: Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich by Adam Rex (yes, that name should sound familiar - remember Chloe & the Lion?) Group musical activity: Monster Mash by David Catrow (remember he wrote the I Wanna Iguana series?) Center #1a: Scaring up words in the dictionary Center #1b: Scaring up story elements Center #2a: Design a your own Halloween costume (or one for Boomer) Center #2b: Acrostic poetry on a given theme Center #3: Technology: Ghost Typing or Pumpkin Carving Extended lunch enrichment will continue to follow the same format of shared read aloud, followed by computer time/maker spaces. These activities are typically supervised by Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Dent. Teachers, please advise if you'd like to do check-out in lieu of these activities. Comments are closed.
